Makeup is  brilliant for enhancing your looks, as long as its used correctly

(Unless of course that's your intention and a specific look you're intending)

Don't forget to care for your skin

Dry skin - Keep it hydrated and moisturised

Oily skin - Use cleanser to absorb excess oil

Doing this either type ( and combination) will result in concealer which won't look unnatural and both blusher and foundation will blend evenly and not look blotchy.

Make sure Makeup is right for your skin type

Dry skin - Avoid powder foundations and blushes

Creamy formulas blend better and help to smooth over fine lines and wrinkles

Normal to Oily skin - Keep to oil free liquids and powders.

As you get older skin changes and you need to change your makeup to suit your skin.

Use Makeup appropriate for the time & place

Going to the gym needs a different look than a special night out

Whereas you can really emphasise for that special evening, for the daytime go for a more natural look.

Update your make-up (As you would your clothes)

Even if you only change your lipstick shade, try new products and adapt to your specific needs.

(Keep a check on whats available at the Make-up exchange)

 Wrong colour of foundation
Go for a foundation which literally disappears as you blend it on your face = perfect

Don't leave your make-up on overnight
Pores can become clogged and if you're not cleansing it means you're not using a night cream

Don't confuse concealer with cover-up
Concealer should be lighter than your matched foundation and used to disguise, ie.under eye dark circles
Cover-up should be used to camouflage blemishes and the same shade as your foundation (you can use your foundation as a cover-up, dab it on with a small brush and set with translucent pressed powder)

Don't Overpluck your eyebrows / Also don't Not pluck them at all
Eyebrows are an important facial feature and enhance your eyes
(Also as you get older the eyebrows become sparse anyway - so if you overpluck them when younger = lack of eyebrows)

As revealed in an interview, how to get whiter teeth and a smile like the celebrities

Want healthy lovely-looking eyes
The skin around the eyes is much thinner than skin elsewhere on the body, so it needs special care. Use gentle make-up removal techniques and don't drag or pull the delicate skin.
Use a lightweight moisturising eye gel/cream which contains protective UV filters for daytime wear.
At night use a treatment cream, but don't use too much or apply it too close to the lashes
(it tends to cause morning puffiness)
Eat well, ie.Carrots are brilliant, rich source of vitamin A, thought to improve vision in dim light.
Rest your eyes during long periods of concentration.
(Use the Clock face technique- to strengthen your eye muscles
imagine you're looking at a clock and move your eyes clockwise to each hour
then reverse the action in an anti-clockwise direction.
Use the Palming technique
cover the eyes with the palms of your hands for a couple of minutes, and relax
